Fertilized Atlantic salmon eggs are directly implanted into streambed gravel using customized equipment.  This process most closely emulates that which takes place in nature.  The results are surpassing expectations.  Natural incubation produces emergence according to the stream's hydrologic conditions - as nature intends.  This process enables the emerging salmon to be in perfect sync with their environment - despite the human involvement.  As planting sites are selected in close proximity to quality rearing habitat, the young salmon are able to disperse into that habitat, and to feed on the natural organisms they are intended to eat.   There are many benefits associated with this method.  Please use the link below to learn more about this promising new process.
