Saco River Trash Drive - 2018

Our 4th Annual Saco River Trash Drive took place on Sunday, September 9th.  Eighty nine participants assisted in the cleaning of 30 miles of river, spanning from the West Buxton Dam to the Atlantic Ocean.  Cleaning was done on foot, or by canoe, kayak or motorboat.  A total of 43 pickup truck loads of trash and debris weighing approximately 6 tons were removed from the river.  This brings the total tally for our 4 events to a whopping 18.5 tons.

As always, we'd like to thank all volunteers along with the following organizations who participated.

Maine Warden Service                                       Maine Forest Service                                          Saco Fire & Rescue Dept.
