Welcome to the Saco River Salmon Club and our Salmon Hatchery
| This is one of the trays partially pulled out from the incubator. Here volunteers add about 4,000 salmon eggs to the water-filled trays. Once the tray is pushed back into place fresh oxygenated water flows over the eggs and at the same time washes away impurities. The black framed screen (just above the open tray) will be placed on top of the tray to prevent the eggs from flowing out along with the waste water. |
